Do you like sandy beaches or islands? From Bremerhaven’s picturesque fishing harbor, you can set sail on luxury cruise ships to the wide, wide world or take smaller boats to the islands. Somehow, you really can’t avoid fresh, delicious fish here—which I highly recommend. Duhnen and Döse are the sandy beaches with an island vibe near Cuxhaven’s waterfront. Travel time: 1 hour.
