Summary: We loved the property. The backyard was private and fun to spend time in. We enjoyed all the wildlife and the beautiful deck. We would have enjoyed the pool but it was not open when we checked in, and the owner did not tell us it wouldn’t be open. That was disappointing, so be sure to ask for operating dates. The location is good and feels remote in the woods. We enjoyed the privacy and location. Costco in Riverhead is 12 minutes away, Southampton about 15 minutes, so you feel like you are secluded in the country, but not far from amenities. The house has a great layout for spreading out, with plenty of room for lots of people to have their own space. The kitchen was not very well stocked with cooking supplies, but I mentioned it to the owner and hopefully he will work on it. I also made some other suggestions that he upgrade appliances and bedding and towels. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but for the price, the pool should have been operating and the house should have had everything we needed.
