The Nest was envisioned with family, safety, and comfort in mind, by a family who has stayed in many short-term rentals for holidays, vacations, and work.
Our condo is right next to the gate for easy beach access, and a 4-minute walk to Folly Beach, a favorite beach of locals (and on TripAdvisor's Hilton Head Top 10 list), with plenty of space to spread out. We have a beach wagon, beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, ice packs, travel mugs, toys--everything you need for a short stroll or a whole day at the beach. On-site there are two pools, 7 clay tennis courts, 4 packed-clay pickle ball courts, 2 indoor racquetball courts, a gym, playsets for the kids, and a game room with ping pong.
We call it 'The Nest' because our balcony looks into the tree line and also because HHI is home to an average of 150 endangered sea turtle nests every year. We love the space because it is top floor (no one above us!), the kitchen is clean and functional for those nights when you just don't feel like dining out, and there are enough beds and sofa beds to fit 7 should a guest show up for a night. An in-unit washer and dryer is perfect for quick loads of laundry during an extended holiday and a wet bar accommodates your coffee needs and has a wine fridge for your beer, wine, and water. The dining room table has a leaf and extra bench so you can serve a larger group. For the little ones in your party we have a pack and go set, high chair, and even sippy cups and bowls.
You'll sleep sound on our new mattresses and you'll love not having anyone above you walking around. On a recent afternoon, we counted 12 species of birds from the balcony, including the residential hawk we often see! Do take note this is a third floor villa with no elevator. We love not having folks above us, but this is your choice!
The Fiddler's Cove Beach & Racquet Club is a 23-acre, gated resort community at mid-Island, which makes it convenient to all of Hilton Head's destinations, including golf courses. We have two pools (heated March, April, and October and cooled June, July, and August), hot tub, game rooms, and gym. There are grills located near the building for you to use. The Breeze seasonal trolley stops right outside the main entrance to the resort.
