Located in the fabulous Kirkwood Mountain and Ski Resort, this lovely mountain house is situated on 33991 Dangberg Drive (Lot 48) and is just a few minutes from the main lodge/village and ski lifts, and only a short drive to the historic Kirkwood Inn, Caples, Silver and Kirkwood Lake. During winter Kirkwood offers a free in valley shuttle that picks up and drop off at the house and will take you to either of the lodges.
This secluded, comfortable, warm and spacious (1,584 square foot) home has high ceilings and numerous large windows for spectacular unobstructed views of Red Cliffs and Kirkwood Meadows. The house sits on 1/2 acre wooded lot and is approximately 50 paces from the road and parking area. During the winter, there is free shuttle service to the ski lifts and village.
The house is fully appointed and well maintained. There are three bedrooms and loft, with two Cal king size, one twin over double bunk bed, one double and one twin beds and three futons. There are two recliner couches in the living room and a 42" flat screen ROKU, along with small tv with ROKU device in the master bedroom.
This cabin is ideal for families who are seeking active outdoor recreational opportunities including down-hill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking and many other activities.

Summary: Great stay--host Steven is responsive and his place is very well-organized--very clear instructions on how to check in, check out.Cabin is well outfitted: everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We were there over Labor Day and there was plenty of parking. Kirkwood is a lovely area for a spring through fall visit. We spent most our days swimming & paddling at Silver Lake which is about 15 minutes away. The Flynn Creek Circus was in town with big top pitched up the street by Kirkwood Lodge--an entertaining evening was had by all in our group who ranged from 12yrs to 72 yrs. Would love to make this a regular family adventure and vacation stay.
