Summary: This was a very disappointing stay. The description did not disclose that there were several people living in the basement. There was no lock from inside kitchen to basement, so no way to assure those people didn't enter our space. The back yard was "off limits" as were several cupboards in the home. It appeared as though people who were in the house quickly moved their stuff into the basement prior to our arrival, with a very shoddy cleaning job. Some lights and receptacles didn't have covers. I could write in the dust on dressers. There was thick dust and debris under tables. Dirty ash tray on back deck. Hair in the fridge. Many crumbs on counter. I wiped the counters and fridge and surfaces myself and the paper towels were black. The carpets were only swept up the middle of the room- there were piles of plaster board and pebbles behind some of the doors. The bed sheets did not appear clean- they were jumbled under the comforters and all wrinkled up. We rewashed them. Only 2K and 2Q beds. The house has good bones and great location- but if this is to be a rental, they need to hire a cleaning person and step it up. Should be pristine for the price, it was shabby. I have photos if need be.
