Summary: We absolutely loved our stay at the Highland Cottage. The check in process could not have been easier, we were greeted to such a clean space with homemade cookies waiting for us. The cottage does so much with the space, it felt so comfortable! It was incredibly well stocked with a full spice rack, pots, pans, butter, extra bedding, games. Everything you could want and more. Cathy and Ted were so welcoming and a pleasure to talk to. We were grateful to have met them and hear about the history of their Cottage and Inn. It was walking distance from anything in the village, we didn’t use the car other than to drive to our hiking trailheads. When looking to plan a return trip to Lake Placid, we will work around dates that will allow us to stay at the cottage again. I can’t imagine staying elsewhere in the future. Thank you, Highland Cottage!
