Summary: This hotel was super clean from the rooms to the bathrooms and the common spaces (lobby, breakfast, lobby bathrooms, etc). The rooms were also VERY spacious which was much appreciated. The beds and pillows were comfortable! The gym was clean and nice - got the job done. Location of the hotel was super convenient (great location if you want to do the bourbon trail and stay in Louisville). I appreciated the coffee that was out 24/7 and the hands free water bottle refill station in the lobby. Parking was easy and convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Louisville!

Summary: The only two downfalls was the bed was very hard, the pool closed at 10pm and no hot tub or bathtub. The hotel itself was clean and service was great but I will stay somewhere else in the future due to the pool hours/no bathtub or hotub and the hard bed.

Summary: The room was exceptionally clean and the staff was wonderful. We loved the pool and the fitness room. The breakfast bar was fantastic. Our floor had a lot of noise late into the night, unfortunately, due to many kids in town for a soccer event so that was less than ideal but not a reflection on the hotel by any means.

Summary: The hotel didn't have handicap parking available, so we were forced to park at the very back of the lot. (They were resurfacing the section of the parking lot with the handicap spots.)
I asked the front desk person if they had a recommended alternative, and she suggested that we could park in her hamdicap spot at the hotel ACROSS THE ROAD. I explained that that would not actually meet our needs (...) and asked if we could park in the electric charging spots (which were the closest), and she laughed and said, "No! Those are reserved for our guests with electric cars!" Okay, got it --people with electric cars are more valuable to Hampton Inn than handicapped people.
Look, i get that sometimes parking lots have to be resurfaced, but have a contingency plan in place or notify your guests ahead of time at the very least. The ADA actually has guidance for this exact thing.
I know this situation will likely not affect most people who read this review -- but i think it speaks to the overall quality and decency/ethics of the hotel, so i thought it was worth letting people know. I think it also speaks to their lack of business savvy because this was actually a huge liability for them...
More general input: don't stay here unless you're a heavy sleeper or you enjoy hearing the Waterson traffic non-stop all night. The windows/walls do nothing to drown out the sound. Or at least be sure to request an even numbered room.
On a positive note: it was clean and breakfast was good.
