Summary: The owner requested we leave our shoes by the door. However, that left our feet and socks almost completely black from dirt. Finding the house was a task because any map service tries to take you to a location in Banner Elk rather than Newland. There were several areas in the bathroom that weren't clean and up to par when we arrived. There was hair in tubs and showers. The house was a great fit once we got settled in. We love the location and the small neighborhood.
