Summary: We had a lovely room at a great price. The evening meal was excellent value and the breakfast choices and quality of food were also top notch. The location is superb too. The only quibble related to the quality of reception we received. The woman we dealt with (east European accent) appeared to be very disinterested in us. We were pretty knackered after driving 250 Km and were hoping for something a little warmer. The gentleman working in the bar was much keener to ensure that we had everything we needed. Interestingly, we returned two nights later for a second stopover. Again, the quality of the reception was poor. The female receptionist (local accent this time) asked in a loud, almost shouty, voice 'Can I help you please?'. We felt as though we were troubling her ever so slightly. Again, there was a complete lack of warmth in her approach. In sum, everything about the hotel was great but the Reception staff would benefit from a bit of customer care training. In particular, they need to learn how to show genuine warmth and interest when receiving guests, as well as seeking to ensure that their customers have an excellent experience right from the get-go.
